Nostalgia Nation Magazine — Issue 01 (January 2026)
A Monthly Digital Magazine for Gen X & Millennials
Welcome to Nostalgia Nation Magazine — Issue 01.
This is the thing I’ve wanted to make for a long time… a monthly, flip-through digital magazine built for people who grew up in the overlap… analog childhood, digital adulthood. We’re not here to live in the past like it’s a museum exhibit. We’re here because the past built our instincts, and in a world that updates itself every few minutes and forgets everything just as fast, it’s worth hitting pause on purpose.
Inside this first issue, you’ll get a little bit of everything that makes Nostalgia Nation what it is: stories, objects, culture, and the people keeping the vibe alive right now. There’s a VHS Shelf Confession (yes, involving a UK haul that arrived… not exactly in “mint” condition), a Creator Spotlight, a Reader Spotlight (because this is a community), The Millennial Minute (2000s toys are more underrated than people realize), a Test Your Knowledge section (trivia that’ll expose who actually rewound their tapes), and a feature essay: Why The Goonies is Still Better Than Stranger Things …because one of these worlds feels like kids could actually pull it off, and the other eventually turns into supernatural CrossFit.
Also: links inside the magazine are clickable, because we’re civilized now.
This issue is shared as a free preview so you can see the quality and vibe for yourself, then, if it hits, you can jump in as a paid supporter and get the full issue every month, plus subscriber-only extras and behind-the-scenes stuff as this grows.
Either way, I’m glad you’re here at the beginning of this passion project that I hope will grow into a wide network of creator driven content to serve all of you Gen Xers and Millennials out there that believe nostalgia matters.
I’ll continue publishing weekly articles and podcast audio here, and sharing daily nostalgia on social, but the monthly Nostalgia Nation magazine is where this project really comes together. That’s where the most care and creative energy lives… and I hope you’ll join me as it grows.
You can download the entire first issue free, below:
The Nostalgia Nation Newsletter and Magazine is supported by paid subscribers who believe independent, creator-driven publishing still matters. A monthly subscription is $5, with an annual option at $54 for readers who prefer to commit for the year. For those who want to help support the magazine at its earliest stage, a limited Founding Member tier is available at $108 annually. Founding Members help make this publication possible as it grows, and are recognized for supporting Nostalgia Nation from the beginning.

We’re always open to hearing from writers, readers with photos and stories from the past, creators interested in being spotlighted, and brands that genuinely align with our audience. If you believe nostalgia still matters, we’d love to hear from you.

Congratulations - from a former "Ziner" (who published in the 80s & 90s & Y2K). We give props to any and everyone who takes on such a lofty project. Cheers. [Note FYI: Audiogliphix - there may be some residual echoes on the web.
