I loved Knight Rider and Magnum P.I.
Let’s talk Beverly Hills Cop… First some hilarious memes I came across this week!
Ok, now let’s talk Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F
“Hey, wait a minute. This isn’t just some arbitrary day that you picked to retire. You’re falling on your sword to cover my ass.” ~ Axel Foley (Quote from Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F)
First off, the film kicks off with classic Beverly Hills Cop fan fair and music. Foley driving in Detroit… absolutely love it and took me back to the original films. The soundtrack is great btw.
Casting— Look, I don’t want to spoil anything for you but let’s just say that you will know who the bad guy is early in the film, but that doesn’t take away from the film in my opinion. Remember, you’re on a ride along with Axel and you’re going to have a great time!
Most of the original cast is back. Eddie Murphy’s real daughter is in the film too. You’ve got Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Bronson Pinchot as Serge, Paul Reiser, and new comers to the franchise, Taylour Paige, Kevin Bacon, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are wonderful. One of my favorite characters though was Chalino, played by Luis Guzman.
Story— The story followed a similar path to Beverly Hills Cop. Basically, there’s crime being committed and Axel has to prove that the individual behind the crime is none other than… Well, you know how it goes. But honestly, it’s still a lot of fun. The thing with BHC movies is you to just sit back and enjoy the film as it unfolds.
Verdict— ⭐⭐⭐+ half stars out of 5 / This is a fun film that’s well made and cast really well. You will definitely enjoy it, so check it out. It’s only available on Netflix.
Let me know if you saw it and what you thought.
BTW…
Alright friends, I hope you enjoyed this week’s ‘The Weekend Issue’ and I’ll see you in your inbox in the next few days.
Stay rad!
